WHY WE EXIST
Speech is too important to require surgery
Every day, people lose the ability to speak — to stroke, to ALS, to injury. Implant science has already proven their words can be recovered: electrodes reading the speech cortex, a decoder, a voice. It works. It also requires brain surgery, and surgery will never scale to everyone who needs it.
Where the implant proves it, scale has to deliver it.
The non-invasive route has one missing ingredient: data. A brain-to-text model needs brain signal recorded together with speech, labeled word by word — and that paired data barely exists at scale. Hospital archives hold seizures and sleep, not language.
So Nurosis collects it ourselves — EEG recorded while people speak — and we start where no competitor is looking: Indian languages and Arabic, thought in by billions, with no dataset behind them. One model, raised on our own paired data, with AI agents on top. That is the whole company.

WHAT WE HOLD TO
Four rules we don't bend
- 01Earn it in the open
- Claims ship with their evidence — methods, benchmarks, and the failures too. The plan, the open questions, the risks: all on this site.
- 02One model, many brains
- No museum of per-person pipelines. A single representation that generalizes across people, sessions, and devices is the product.
- 03Wear it, don't implant it
- The people who need this most can't schedule surgery. If it can't be pulled on like a cap in a living room, it isn't finished.
- 04Languages no one else has
- English brain-speech data is contested ground. Indian languages and Arabic are open — we collect where no competitor is looking.
